How to make French toast

Ingredients:
Bread
2 eggs
Half a cup of milk
golden syrup
Icing sugar (optional)


Put the pan on the stove and turn the stove on 6. Grab a bowl and crack the eggs and pour it into the bowl. Pour the milk in the bowl and mix with a fork. Dip the toast in the mix and soak it on both sides. Put the soaked bread on the the pan and let it cook.

You can cook lots of them at the same time. Look at the bottom of the bread if it is golden flip it. Wait for a minute and put it on a plate pour the golden seripe and put the icing sugar on if you have it.

How to make a Pancake

               How to cook pancakes.
Ingredients:
  • 100g plain flour
  • 1 egg
  • 300 ml milk
  • 1/2 a teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1 tablesp. Butter.


Put the stove on 7 and put a pan on. Start by sifting the flour and add it to a bowl then add the baking powder in the middle. Crack the egg and pour it in the middle were the baking powder is. Start stirring and slowly pour the milk in the bowl. Stir until the mix is thin.


Add the butter to the pan and wait for the butter to melt. When the butter has melted add the mix to the pan. Wait until there is bubbles on the top on the pancake. Flip and wait for a minute. You have done your first pancake.

There is many things you can put on your pancake like jam.

Explanation of Homemade Shaker


Materials Needed:
A plastic bowl
two pieces of paper
cellotape
and sand, rocks or lego bricks


Instructions for Homemade Instrument:
  1. [First Instruction]....
Fold the paper over the bottom of the bowl tape it to the bowl. Then you add the stones or sand or lego bricks inside the open part. Fold the second piece of paper over the top. Now you have a shaker.


Explanation of how sound is created:
Introduction:
The sound it created by the small objects inside the box. The objects hit the box and the paper and makes sound.

Science Roadshow

If you have gone to the science roadshow, then you would have seen the balloon explosion? This is how is works. With the first balloon you blow it up with your breath which is carbon dioxide. When it is blown up with air you tape a piece of paper to the balloon. Before you lite the paper you should block your ears or put earmuffs on so you do not hurt your ears. Watch the explosion and see if you like this explosion compare to the next balloon.


In the next balloon you put 100% oxygen and tie it up. Do the same with this balloon as you did with the first and watch the boom. Have you noticed the difference? Do you you know what has made the difference. The reason is because fire needs oxygen to stay in a flame.

Government boost cochlear funding


Cochlear implant

Jo Vaughans 4 year old son Dylan was born completely deaf. The government paid for the first Cochlear implant for Dylan. Dylans parents had to save $50,000 to pay for Dylan's second implant. Dylans Speech is improving and his parents are able to teach dylan how to walk. The government is now paying for both implants for children under six years old.

Eric, Rave and Nikita Funnel ears Science experiment template

Science experiment:


Question: What will happen to the sound if I change the shape of a piece of paper? (e.g. from a flat shape to a funnel shape)

Hypothesis: (What do you think will happen?) e.g. I think that...
Rave: I think that the sound will get worse.  
Eric: I think that the sounds volume will go up with the funnel facing to your partner

Materials needed:
A Piece of Paper, tape and tissue or cotton.
Experiment (procedure):


e.g. Step 1 - First hold a flat piece of paper against your ear. Block your other ear with your hand. Get your partner to speak to you. What is the sound like? Can you hear clearly?


Step 2 - Next, roll the piece of paper into a funnel shape. Put the funnel against your ear. Face the funnel towards your partner and listen to them speak. What does it sound like? Can you hear clearly?


Step 3 - Next, face the funnel to the side while your partner speaks to you. Does it make a difference to the sound that you can hear?


Step 4 - Put some cotton balls or tissue paper into the funnel to block one end. Does it make a difference to the sound you hear?


Step 5 - Next, roll the piece of paper up and l

Observations:
It turns out that half of my hypothesis was right.
When the paper was flat and Nikita spoke it sounded like Nikita and I were having a conversation. When we turned the paper into a funnel shape and faced it to the front it sounded like an echo. When we faced the funnel sideways it sounded like you were inside someone else's head and they were whispering. When we added a circle shape tissue at the end it sounded like someone was shouting to you across the room. When we rolled up the piece of paper facing the front it sounded like
someone is talking to you but echoing. Finally, we faced it to the side and it sounded like someone was whispering to you.

Conclusion:

We have noticed that the sound is louder when it is facing in front of you. With all the experiences of the paper is turns out that it kind of makes a difference to the sound travelling to your ears. But from the different angles that we held the funnel the sound was different. Some sounds sounded like someone was whispering to or shouting to you from across the room.

How music affects your brain

Did you know that music affects your brain? n you listen to music your heart beat tries to match the beat of the tune that you are listening to. Music is a big part of the world.

Sound is a vibration in the air that hits your eardrum and your eardrum vibrates. It sends the sound to your inner ear through the little hairs. These messages gets sent to your brain. Sound moves at 330 meters a second.

Your emotions react to music. Some music can make you sad, some music can make you happy or makes you calm. There are all kinds of music like Pop, Hip Hop, Rap, Jazz, 70’s and 80’s, Blues, Reggae, Dubstep, R&B, Soul, Opera and Classical.

There are many artists like Will.i.am, Linkin park, Eminem, Tyga and many more. Some artists work in a group called a band. There are many bands in the world like Black Eyed Peas and many more.
