Netbook Reflection 2013

What I like about learning with a Netbook? I like having free time, you can do more things & its easy to write. What frustrates me ? I can’t do things that some other can & other people sometimes hack into my Netbook and change my font. What would make it better? If I had Mac.
How does school compare now VS before I had a Netbook? Quite well because it gives the kids easy work so you don't have to make a big mess because the computer automatic makes it tidy . How could we use our Netbooks better? If it came with a I pad.

Swimming

Early in the morning  a mixed class went for swimming. We got changed of course then Mr Somerville lead us to the pool. Once we got in the pool it was cold, after a little while the pool warmed up.


We get free time for 15 minutes. It was wavy the water. The ladder steps were a bit cold but I can stand it. There was a lot water screaming so that made it hard to listen to Mr Somerville.


Mr Somerville threw a tennis ball into the pool. Who ever gets up to 11 points is able to make something up for the other team to do outside of the pool. The girls won lots of games until the boys won once . We had to get changed into our school uniform.

Cross country

In the beginning of the race Mr Marks tals the girls & boys in groups to go & start running. It gets tiring & I always sweat. running for glory I come somewhere in the teens. it was fun we had to walk around the basketball court. When everybody is here we do exercisers.

Lee came first out of the year 5&6 with Iisa. Francis came 9th. I think I came 15th. It was fun.

Alien pet shop

Once upon a time there was a man named Eric. Aliens kidnap . They stack jack in a pet shop that aliens buy people.


One day a alien bought jack . His name was Blooker. This planet is called dynamite. Dynamite is a planet that has heaps of mines

On the boat with my dad

On Wednesday me dad and a friend named Bob went on the boat. Bob is a funny man. Dad helped me fish at night he stuck a glowing squid on my hook but there was no fish.


On friday we put the engine in the water and the rudder down. We were going fishing. My dad looked to see how deep it was with his rod. We caught one fish. Then we went to the mooring and went through a group of shags.


At dinner time he made some steak. When he cooked the fish he burnt one side of it. The other side was raw and we could not eat it so we through it in the ocean.

Robert Delaunay

Robert Delaunay uses vibrant colors. In his art he uses geometric shapes. He is french. He was also a poet.

Jackson Pollock

Jackson pollock is a famous artist. In 1945, he married the artist Lee Krasner, who became an very important artist. On August 11 1956 Jackson pollock died in a car crash.

Rm15 went outside for art. We copied Jackson Pollock's style. When we were panting we did not touch the paper we flicked  the paint and it splattered on the paper. I used red ,blue  and yellow, the colors mixed together when they touched.

Eric's - could creatures live without rain?

Without rain it will not be possible for creatures to survive because the land will be  to dry for the creatures to live.

There are a few places in the world that it doesn't rain, like the desert where animals can’t live, neither do plants.

With supplies  like rain, it will help us survive, we need rain to drink.

When it rains people in the city begin to get angry and forget how much farmers need rain to grow crops and grass for the cattles. Also keep the dams full for the taps.

Swimming

I am kicking ander water. With my head out of the water. My eyes was sore.

My name is Eric. I am a year 5. It was so fun.

kayaking

On Thursday the respectables went kayaking. I was one of the first group of kids to hop on. When that time was finished there was a spare boat so I took it. Then I started to paddle I went faster and faster then I had to go round the pole after that it was time for someone elses turn.

Sleeping in the tent

When the teachers zip up our tents it‘s time to be quiet. But the silences was broken and I heard a strange noise. It was Sione snoring. In the middle of the night he got up and fell on me. I pushed him on his side and then he woke up and said “What happened”. I said “nothing” in a small  whispering voice.

Roller skates

When I put the roller skates on I tried to ride them but I started to get out of control. I fell over and then I tried to never give up.

Eric blindfold

Henry and Texas went first for the course . They made it look hard. When it was my tern I saw nothing at all because we where blindfolded so it was hard.We had to go balance on a plank. Then we had to go over the skipping ropes. Under the mat on the mattresses on the stage and jump on a big blue mat.I wonted to have another tern but I cud not. It was time to go and have lunch.I had fun.

Eric [Banana]

My banana felt like a horses neck. Inside it felt like a thick shake with no milk. It felt like slop.

The banana looked like a yellow boomerang. It reminded me of a gooses neck and beak. The inside of the skin looked like a fishes scales.

my first post

Hi I am Eric it really cool to get back to school. I am a year 5 this year so I can take my netbook home later on.

At week 7 room 15 are going to year 5 camp. It is going to be fun. There is free food at camp . I can not wait for that.
