And welcome to New Zealand I bet that you have come to see the Rugby World Cup you are very welcome to be in this beautiful country. New Zealand is a very unique land there are many different cultures all living together.

Jandales are a type of shoes you can wear at the beach when it’s hot. They are made from rubber and on top it has very cool pictures. In some countries they are called slippers and in Australia they call them flappers.



Buzzy Bee is the most famous toy in New Zealand many Buzzy Bees have been sold in many country’s in New Zealand. Nearly every child has a Buzzy Bee to play with in New Zealand.

William Webb Ellis

Before 1823 a man named William Webb Ellis went to rugby school there. At 1823 William Webb Ellis broke the rules by raning with the ball.In 1845 The rules were changed so thay can run with the ball and since thay get togaed thay had to pass the ball.

Ma'a Nonu

The fast and furious Ma’a Nonu dodged and side step and charged like a bull. Ma’a Nomu the mean machine ran fast trying to tackle through the opposition. He scored a try.

Swimming

Swimming is very fun because we get to have free time. We can bring goggles if we have some. I bring mine so I can see underwater during my free time. My favourite swimming style is the frog one, I think it's called breaststroke.

Adding Detail to Sentences

Our class learnt how to add detail to phrases. we started adding detail to the beginning of the phrase "invented the spaceship". We then had to add more detail to the end of that sentence.

Here are the sentences I wrote.

The alien invented the spaceship.

The teacher invented the spaceship.
Homer Simpson invented the spaceship.

The alien invented the spaceship with a man, when he was tired.

The teacher invented the spaceship with his class, at play time.

Homer Simpson invented the spaceship with Bart, out in their backyard.
